Alpha Release!

By admin | April 16, 2007

A very early alpha version of Artemis has finally been released and can be downloaded now. We’re light on samples at the moment, but now that we’ve finally got a usable framework in place we should have more libraries to release over the next week along with tutorials and source code to allow everyone to start building their own. Also feel free to join us on the Artemis mailing list if you have any questions or want to discuss building libraries with other users.

Update (04/16/07 3:00am) the java framework is currently not deserializing AMF calls correctly for Windows, the Mac version is unaffected by this, I’ll keep up on updates as soon as we have a new build up.

Fletching our arrows

Thanks everyone for the tremendous amount of support you’ve all shown for the Artemis project over the past week. We’re working overtime to get code wrapped up and a web site ready for the community’s involvement. If you’re just visiting the site for the first time and want to learn more about Artemis, please visit the FAQ listed above, although this Youtube link demonstrating Artemis connected to Adobes Apollo runtime should hopefully sum up what we’re trying to achieve.
