Peyton Lindley
Executive Director, UX Design & Technology
As executive director of UX design and technology for EffectiveUI, Peyton Lindley is responsible for providing leadership to the company’s user-centered design and development teams. With a strong background in interface design and design management, Peyton extends the user-centered design approach across all departments within EffectiveUI.
In addition to focusing on process improvement and efficiency to maintain EffectiveUI’s high standards and commitment to excellence, Peyton also identifies emerging trends and innovative approaches to better facilitate exceptional user experiences.
Peyton is a member of the executive leadership team that drives the company’s overall direction, core values and business strategy.
He joined EffectiveUI in 2008 as the company’s director of user experience, a role in which he articulated the current and future value of user-centered design for all interactive engagements. Additional responsibilities included process improvement, business strategy, collaborative design methodologies and user research.
Peyton has an extensive background in user experience design team management and interactive media. Before joining EffectiveUI, he was the director of interaction design at texturemedia, a Boulder-based marketing and interactive design firm. There he helped grow the agency’s design team and increase company revenue by 650 percent.
During his career, Peyton has contributed his design talents to numerous projects for well-known clients such as Pentax, Fidelity, Midas, Horizon Organic, Spyder, Disney, the Denver Art Museum and IZZE. In 2007, Peyton was awarded a Web Marketing Association’s WebAward for his work on Izzeesque. The next year, he received two People’s Choice Webby Awards for his work with Pentax and King Tut.
Peyton has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels for the University of Denver’s Digital Media Studies Program as well as the University of Colorado’s Boulder Digital Works program. He currently serves as the education liaison for the Society of Digital Agencies.
Peyton’s professional affiliations include: IxDA; SoDA; UXnet; Boxes and Arrows; and User Experience Group.
Peyton earned his master’s degree in digital media studies from the University of Denver in Colorado.
